Welcome to a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Take a seat, breathe in, and let the soothing sound of rainfall guide you to a place of peace and tranquility. We'll embark on a rainy day meditation journey, finding solace in the life-giving droplets as they cleanse our bodies and souls. Together, we'll focus on our breath, our surroundings, and the calming rhythm of the rain.

This meditation is designed to rejuvenate and refresh, carrying away negativity and inviting positivity. It doesn't matter if the rain is a physical downpour or a metaphorical one - this meditation is for you. Imagine each raindrop as it lands on your palms; invigorating in the left, liberating in the right. Let the rain wash over you, creating a sense of peace and calmness. Stay, relax, and let the sounds of rain ease you into a deep and serene meditation or sleep. Thank you for joining me on this journey to inner tranquility.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to a rainy day meditation. Maybe you're stuck inside because it's raining or it's cold, or you're in a place that it's very dry and your soul is in need of some rain. So, whether it's rainy or it's hotter than a soul into Mali, or you're feeling a dark cloud following you, use this meditation to refresh your mind, your body, soul and spirit. So find a comfortable position, whether laying down or in a seated position. Relax your eyes, relax your jaw, relax your hands, relax your feet, being still noticing your surroundings, the temperature in the air, the sounds that you're hearing. You're hearing your breath, noticing your breath, noticing your chest going up and down, drawing attention to your breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathing in, breathing out. Now that you are comfortable, relaxed, calm, turn your attention to the sounds that you're hearing Rain. Notice the repetitive sound. Imagine the temperature and moisture in the air, a damp, refreshing scent, with awareness of the rain, then recognizing properties of water that it can be life-giving, thirst quenching, refreshing and full of opportunity. And the water can also be cleansing, clearing a washing or rinsing away of dirt or things that need to be removed. Let the rain just wash over your face, wash down your shoulders, clean off your fingers, cleansing your body.

Speaker 1:

Draw your attention back to the rain. Start to visualize individual rain drops and imagine them collecting in your palms, creating small pools of water, using each drop dropping in your hand. Each drop that lands in the left palm is a life-giving drop, refreshing and exciting, and each drop that lands in the right palm is cleansing, removing negativity, washing away anything that doesn't serve you or holding you back. Allow the drops to collect in each hand, noticing the left palm, noticing the right palm, washing negativity away. Allow the drops to collect without judgment. Just hold and be present with the puddles of water, recognizing that each drop is part of the whole, together washing and refreshing.

Speaker 1:

Slowly, start to bring your hands together at your heart and imagine releasing the pools and letting them come together and wash over you. All the clearing, all the drops come together and flow into one, releasing and passing over. Thank you, let yourself be here again and again, bringing your attention to the rain, the smell in the air, the touch on your skin, any warm sensations that you're feeling throughout your body. Take a big, deep breath in and breathe it out. Breathing in, breathing out, noticing your breath, noticing your hands, feeling at peace, calmness. Feel free to stay here, relax and listen to the sounds of rain. Let it ease you into sleep, to meditation, or just closing your practice, and thank you for meditating with me.
